Apologia is an excellent curriculum! Our students benefit from it greatly and have a very well rounded understanding of the material by the year's end.

Anything by this author is of superb quality. We have used nothing else for our sciences. My girls love to work the experiments, they can't wait to get to the next lesson, and they make the test taking a challenge between the two of them. What more can you ask?

One of the best resources for the chemistry student I've ever seen. Neatly organized and easy to follow. Makes chemistry real and vibrant...not boring or illusive. I highly recommend this textbook for any student or teacher wishing to fully grasp chemistry and its building blocks for all creation.

I love the colorful pics. I love how it speaks to the child so they can comprihend what they are reading. You don't need to be a science major to figure this out.

Very user friendly. Well laid out. Materials needed for the experiments are easily accessible. I met Dr. Wiles at a homeschool convention. His presentation drew me to the decision to purchase and use his curriculum. I have not been disappointed in anyway.

This is a great book for homeschoolers & for smaller schools. I have 2 students using this course & they are doing very well. There is a lot of information so I do go through the material & specify what they need to look for in terms of notes & vocab. The study guide in the book is VERY helpful. I also have the companion cd & use the website to help w/Labs. I also have a student doing the Marine Biology course from Apologia & she LOVES it. Overall the Chem book is good & easy to use, easy to understand. ***Student will need to be able to do multiple Math equations..best suited for 10th gr & up in my opinon.

I found this book to be a bit much. I was looking for more of a basic teaching in chemistry. It's a big textbook. I would say if you're looking at just teaching a basic foundation in chemistry, then this book isn't for you.

Superior to any other Chemistry courses I have taken and I have taken a lot through my lifetime. I highly recommend this for all students. Be sure your student has completed Algebra 1 or else they will struggle in any chemistry course. This is the BEST course and my son dreaded taking this and is now LOVING it. He said, "This is hard but not impossible and I think it is fun." Wow! I was so pleased to hear that!

My husband, a public high school Chemistry teacher, asked me to buy this Chem. book and solutions/test book for him. We've used many other Apologia books in our homeschool. He's very impressed with the way Dr. Wile has written and compiled the book. He's enjoying it more than the standard state textbooks.

Textbook is great! Different -colored sections for On Your Own, Experiments and Extra Practice Problems. Well written but the companion CD is definitely a bonus....it breaks up the monotony of just reading the material alone.
