I guess I'm a little confused why this would be considered a "Christian book" since Christ says in John 12:25: "Whoever loves his life loses it, and whoever hates his life in this world will keep it for eternal life."It just seems like Joel & Victoria Osteen tend to preach and teach (and sell books) propagating something Jesus taught against. So if being a Christian means being a Christ follower, this cannot be considered a Christian book.In fact, in contrast to the Scriptures, it sounds like they are teaching a religious idea with the intent to make people feel good but will lead people to Hell. They might be leading people to Hell, but at least they will be smiling until they get there.I would highly not recommend this book, nor any book with the agenda of the glorification of man, rather than Jesus Christ. Happiness is temporary and circumstantial. Joy is a fruit of the Spirit of God. Come on people... they are tickling your ears. 2 Timothy 4:1-5 says:"I charge you in the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who is to judge the living and the dead, and by his appearing and his kingdom: preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, and exhort, with complete patience and teaching. For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions, and will turn away from listening to the truth and wander off into myths. As for you, always be sober-minded, endure suffering, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry."
