Friends Nick Martin, Drew Wilson, and Mike McCauley are betting on love-and the last man left single wins. But then Abby Wilson-an interior design graduate who once had a teen crush on Nick-catches him off guard. Melody Markwell-a female diesel mechanic and just as competitive as the guys-butts heads with Drew. And Johanna Smith-a clumsy librarian who literally keeps running into Mike-has opposites attracting. All bets are off, but will these hard-headed, heart-hardened bluegrass bachelors give in to love?

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I liked all the stories but the first one was the best! The concept of the stories is a set of guy friends who all make an agreement to not get married or at least outlast each other. It seems like a great idea until they meet women that win their hearts. The first story is about Drew and Addy. They have known each other for years but something changes for them when Addy has to move back home for awhile. Their interactions are well written and believable. I gave this book 5/5 stars. I thought each story was linked to the others very well. The stories were great on their own but having them all together in one book was perfect. I would recommend this book for anyone who likes easy to read loves stories.
I would like to thank the publisher for the copy of this book I enjoyed reading. I gave an honest review based on my opinion of what I read.
What an enjoyable book! This book is, in reality, three books. These three books are based in Kentucky and follow the lives of four men who have grown up together. At one point in their lives, the men made a bet about marriage. The man who can keep from getting tied down with marriage the longest is the winner, with the other three having to pay for his wedding.
When the first story begins, you discover that one man, Wyatt, has already succumbed and has married a high school crush named, Gracie. The first story covers the relationship of Nick and Addy and is so sweet.
The second story covers Addy's brother, Drew and a woman named Melody. All of the stories are inspirational and this story, in particular, delves into the subject of why bad things happen in this world and why God would allow those things to happen.
The third story revolves around Mike and Johanna. It is very much a story of courtship and finding the one God made for you. The author did an amazing job with these stories. I love how they flow one into the other. You see the relationships of each couple continue to grow in each novel and truly feel a part of this group of friends.
I was provided with a copy of this book from Barbour Publishing, Inc. in exchange for my honest review.
I don’t think I have read any Romancing America books before, but Bluegrass Bachelor’s was a great introduction to the series. Bluegrass Bachelors is a three-in-one collection that follows the stories of Wyatt, Nick, Drew, and Mike who all made a bet to not get married. The bet was that the last one who got married, the rest of the guys would have to pay for the wedding. When the first story begins, Wyatt has already gotten married. The rest of the book follows Nick & Addy, Drew & Melody, and Mike & Johanna. Addy had a childhood crush on Nick, but she was always just Drew’s kid sister to him. When she returns from college, Nick can’t help but be attracted to her. However, he’s a stubborn boy and doesn’t want to lose the bet. Will love win out for Nick and Addy or will Nick continue in his stubborn ways? Drew is extremely competitive. He doesn’t want a girl because he is determined to win the bet. When Melody comes to town, Drew finds a girl who is just as competitive as he is. Will his competitiveness win out or will he lay that aside in order to love Melody? Mike and Johanna bumped into each other several times before they start to see a pattern. When Mike asks Johanna out, they quickly find themselves attracted to each other. I enjoyed this book from start to finish. Each book was equally fun and enjoyable to read. I found myself surprised at a few of the events in the book and I found myself smiling throughout the whole thing. The men in this book are great Christian guys and each of them is hero worthy. This is a great book for anyone looking for a fun, light, Christian romance.
I received a free ecopy of this book from Barbour Books through NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. All opinions stated are my own.
Even though they are sold separate i believe these stories need to be read together. I loved each couple- though very different they seem to be fitting perfectly in each others lives.
I know we read christian romance just for fun but authors often surprise us with a touch of insightfullness and between the lines advise. If you lost someone close to you or if you straggle through a valley of problems, this book will not just tell you 3 great love stories, it will give you great encouragement.
Funny, spiritual, encouraging, romantic, -a little low on communication but totally worth every minute spent reading it..
