This was an excellent book, and I could not put it down. It gives a very good view of how things were in Europe during WWII. The vivid imagery make the book come alive. Love all of Thoene's series! They are great authors!

I love this series by the Thoenes, and was thrilled to discover that there were 3 new additions to it since I last read the series. It is awesome to read historically, it gives such a wonderful perspective of WW2 from Europe. I would give this a 5 rating, except that the website fails to mention that these books are "directors cut" versions - like condensed books, not the full length version. I was very disappointed to discover I spent $50 (I ordered books 1 and 2 also, since I had lent them to someone who didn't return them) and go only condensed versions instead of the originals.
