This book is a great resource for OLDER children. I think the book would work best for children ages 10 - 12. I recently went through the text with a few 8 year olds and it was a little too tricky for them.
The workbook is definitely challenging (I even struggled answering some of the questions) and any child able to make it through the book will certainly be ready for baptism. Because the book is very lengthy, it is not the best fit for those with shorter attention spans. My students, who I consider to be very studious and apt to finish something to completion, struggled to finish a chapter a week.
All in all, I think this is a great tool - but I do not think it is appropriate for children younger than 4th grade.
