A wonderful story of character, perseverance, and adjusting to abrupt changes in life. Great for tweens, and focuses on looking to and trusting Christ during adolescence. Also funny in parts.

My kids and I loved this movie. It is a wholesome teen christian movie and I am so excited about it . I would love more stuff like this for my children.

We watched this in youth group tonight. Even though the main character is a girl, the boys enjoyed it too. It is a bit hokey, but humorously and purposefully so. Covers topics the kids see in school in a way that encourages them to look for opportunities to "rise to the occasion." It seemed like it might be the first in a series, but I don't see any more - too bad.

My teenage daughter owns this already, so we bought another to give as a gift.
I appreciate the way Sissy makes the decision to live for the Lord her own way, regardless of what is popular (and who mistreats her)--even in "Christian" circles. Seeing Sissy and the neighbor boy from different perspectives is so funny!
So we like the story, the premise behind the story, and the engaging way it is presented. I personally do not like the music at the concert, but the words are amazing, the spirit is great, and the church should provide an alternative if it has a preference otherwise.
If there were more of these, I would like us to own those, too.

I THINK THIS IS A CUTE LITTLE DVD. IT IS MAINLY AIMED TO FEMALES---TEENS. THIS HOWEVER, COULD BE USED AS A NICE FAM MOVIE. MY BOYFRIEND AND HIS FOLKS ENJOYED IT.

This video isn't top quality, but the main character has a real feel and is someone young kids can relate to. It shows good values and models how to deal with relational hardship -- Sissy prays in a real way to figure out what to do.

I found that there were mixed messages given throughout the DVD and in places it was quite weird. Not something I would give to my grandchildren as they would not learn consistent Christian values from the film.

Purchased with the expectation of giving it to our granddaughters. Watched it and threw it in the trash. Why do some people think it is acceptable to mix "rock music" with "Christian words" and call it good? We do not agree.

Great movie for mothers and daughters to watch together as it has some wonderful themes for conversations - how do families relate, how do we worship God, how do we serve others, etc. Recommended for 8 yrs and up.

Well, I bought this DVD for my sisters who are 14 and 13. At first they said they didn't like it but it wasn't long before they were watching it over and over. Weird huh. But they did say some of the acting is cheesy but the contemporary worship was really good. It made me want to find the music to download. Hope this helps.
