Series I of the NICENE AND POST-NICENE FATHERS consists of eight volumes of the writings of St. Augustine, the greatest and most influential of the early Church Fathers, and six volumes of the treatises and homilies of St. Chrysostom. The series is edited by the eminent church historian Philip Schaff (1819-1893), professor at Union Theological Seminary, New York.

This set of books is the absolute go to if you are interested in apologetics. They clearly show how the early church thought and acted in reference to core tenants of faith.

If you have the other two sets, you should really by this set to complete it. The last book being a collection of the Ecumenical Councils is definitely a must for those who want to refute false claims about the Council of Nicaea.

It is a part of the collection of Early Church Fathers, (more two sets) , belive me it is the best source on early church fathers! And the price is amazing!! Dont lose this chance!"In this set you will have the best and almost all the Augustine Writings. With notes , indexs and all other stuff to make a good search.
