I had problems w/the start..too many names an almost gave up, but then narrowed down and was a very good story and knowing the era made it even more suspenseful. Will look for more Tracy Groot books.

This book brought the people of this story alive...Jesus' sister played such a wonderful part...she could have been any woman in Israel at that time but had the added burden of being a sister of the man they crucified. This book also brought to life what it was like to live under the rule of the Romans...some who were sympathetic to the Jews. Lots of suspense towards the end!!! I would totally recommend it

Not only did I feel that I was living the history of the period but I also felt the emotion of all the characters as their lives interacted. I didn't want to put it down & will seek other work by the author.

This is a good story line telling us what life was like just after Christ's resurrection. Would be enjoyed by almost anyone but especially women as we can relate to the life the main character has been forced to live.
