I just finished this little book about Song of Songs by Robert Jenson, and I wonder why nobody else has reviewed the book before me in Christianbook. However when I purchased it I was more than skeptical. But it did not go for long - that is after reading couple of pages - I had to change totally my mind - I say totally! The commentary and Song of Songs captured My hearth. So I do not know about you, but I did not only like the book, I may say, I loved it. Some of you may not like the book's theological allegory, but for me one of it's strengths was how the author quoted the Jewish and old Christian sources to allegorize the Song - picturing the sacred relationship between the Lord and His bride! Thanks for you Jenson!
