Tyndale House The One Year Women of the Bible

Each devotional in The One Year Women of the Bible devotional focuses on a woman in the Bible and a woman today. You'll hear the perspective of faithful women like Sarah, Elizabeth, and Abigail along with the less faithful women, such as Jezebel. You'll also read about everyday contemporary women struggling with busyness and commitment to God. Dianne Matthews masterfully transitions to the scriptural account of a woman in the Bible who faced a similar story or issue and brings readers the spiritual lessons and direction to apply to our own lives. If you are looking for a good devotional for Women, this is it. I started this book on January 1, 2013 and finished it today December 31, 2013. I was amazed at how many times while reading this devotional it spoke directly to me. I felt I was not on life's journey alone. I have had my eyes opened, I have been chastised to do better, I have felt love and understanding. I love how God uses a book to speak to you. This devotional will Bless you each and every day.

A very powerful devotional! Dianne has a way of bringing the women of the Bible alive in a way that I have never experienced them before. She is amazing in the way she takes relevant situations for today and weaves them into the stories of the women of the Bible. We are given a chance to escape for a minute and dwell on what is really important in our lives. This book is a wonderful way to start out your day! I would recommend getting it not only for yourself, but also for all of the women you know. Great job, Dianne!

"Sometimes" women can feel a little disconnected as scripture can appear to be rather male oriented. This book helps women to see and understand how significant and important we are as women. Our christian walk as a women is strentghened in this book and helps women to realize that we are not alone. Highly recommended!

Author Dianne Neal Matthews knows her stuffboth scripturally and practicallyand she knows how to interweave the two to bring biblical accounts to life and make them relevant for todays modern woman. What a great way to journey through the Bible in a year and become acquainted with the women whose stories fill its pages, even while becoming more intimately acquainted with yourself and who you are as a woman today. Great job!
