Well written novel of situations that we hope could never happen but considering the times we live in, just doesn't seem farfetched at all. Good story line and can't wait to read the next in the series.

Just a bit difficult to get into initially as there are a lot of characters to get to know and to keep track of. However, once you're in you're hooked and you can't wait to begin the next one in the series.

This is an edge of your seat, page turner that will keep you wide eyed and breathless until the very last page. The president's motorcade is attacked in Denver, London, Canada, and other world leaders are attacked as well and all the evidence points to Iraq, not as terrorism, but as acts of war! Jon Bennett is in Israel to negotiate an oil deal that will bring him billions of dollars for his CEO and close friend, who also happens to the the president of the united states! The president is taken to Cheyenne where he and others consider what action to take. But when the president is attacked again by a secret service agent for the CIA and his own personal friend is discovered to be a traitor working for the terrorists, the choice becomes clear. Iraq is mobilizing it's troops to invade Israel and Israel is ready to go nuclear with it's limited supply of nuclear weapons. So America takes the matter in their hands rather than allow Israel to start a bloody war and sets of Nukes in Iraq, but what will the consequences be?

I am a late bloomer in reading this series, seeing as it came out many years ago. But its one of the few books that truly made my pulse race! It was difficult at times to read it coherently, since I was so into the story I wanted to race ahead to find out what happened next! Twists, turns and surprises from start to finish! Way to go, Joel!

I have read the entire series several times and plan to re-read them again. Even though these are fiction stories, it gives you some real insight into what is truly going on in the middle east.
I followed up reading this series by listening to the dvd's explaining Joel Rosenburgs research for these books and that was really interesting.

I find The Last Jihad a fascinaing book. It is high speed all the way and a book that you just can't put aside 'till later! It seems like you are where the action is due to the detail in explainlig the different situations and places. I have the other 4 in this series and look forward to getting into them!

I have a new favorite author and The Last Jihad is absolutely the best book of fiction I have ever read. It is so intense and so realistic. I would read a few pages and put it down for a while because it was so intense. It just kept getting better as I turned the pages. I am reading the whole series and then I plan to reread it. I have only read one other series more than once. I have been reading since I learned to read over 50 years ago. I have read thousands of books, but Mr. Rosenberg this is the best. Thank you...
