The teen this was bought for absolutely loved the fact that the edges of the pages had a trendy design consistant with the teen feel of the rest of the bible - instead of basic silver or gold. We're thinking of buying one for each of her close friends at church.

My son is 12 and needed a more mature bible. I have not read this bible but apparently it is the same version they use in the youth section. He really likes the design and I like that is a hardback. The price is excellent for this bible. No regrets. Will use CB.com again.

My 11 year old son was looking for a bible that was easy to understand and relate to for his age and this Bible did that and more. I would recommend this to any child too old for the children's versions but not ready for the regular bible.

This bible is perfect for our 13-year-old daughter!! She is actually excited about it, and she finally carried a bible to church this past Sunday! :) It is wonderfully written. It gets to the point and has great references and stories. They are applicable...and she doesn't think they're "dorky" or "cheesy." This bible will definitley be good for her all the way through high school and will take her through her teenage years for sure. She will not "grow out of it" until her college years. We are letting her choose a cover for it because she is not crazy about the way it looks... it is neutral, so that it fits either gender, of course. Plus, that will let her make it her own (and protect it over the years). Very pleased!!

Bought this Bible as an Easter basket-filler for my almost 13-year-old. He outgrew his old Bible and needed one more suitable for a pre- to early teenager. Thumbing through it, it looks like it will be perfect for his age & contains a lot of cool extras geared towards "tweener" boys. Highly recommend.

I chose this Bible after reading the reviews and not one mentioned that it included little snipets about sex, drugs, homosexuality, and not believing in God. As I read them in this Bible my heart was grieved. Though these are real temptations, I would like to see the focus on how to avoid these situations.
It is a reality check to make sure that we prepare our children to keep themselves pure & free from these real temptations! However, I will be looking for another Bible for my 12 year old, probably a Study Bible. I am considering whether or not I should hang onto this one for when she is a little older?

EAsily handled and size is just right for Bible carriers and other types of bags to carry to church.
