My daughter was confirmed as a young adult over the Christmas holidays. She had a Bible she loved but wanted something she could read in short periods of time while at college. This gift was perfect for celebrating both her milestone choice in life and for her needs while away at school.

'The One Year Bible for women' is a paperback in the New Living Translation. It's one of my favorite translations to read from. The One Year Bible consists of ways we can use this by: one two or even three year plans as well as reading through the Psalms and Proverbs, taking you through them twice during the year. There are highlighted Scriptures to help you focus on a key thought in each day's reading. Also, there are quotes weaved throughout, here and there. I love quotes! One of my fav ones has been a fav of mine for a long time now and it's in here! :) It's says: "The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched. They must be felt with the heart." Hellen KellerNow, there aren't maps in this Bible. I was hoping to find some in here but there aren't any. Also, there weren't that many devotionals either, very few if you can find them!I do recommend this Bible for encouragement, inspiration and to help boost your faith in God's holy Word.

I obviously didn't get through this whole Bible in my short time of reading it. I did however enjoy the layout of this Bible. At the beginning of the Bible it gives the date and a Scripture reading for that date. But the other thing I enjoyed about this Bible is that it also gave some other ways to read the Bible (examples: Revised One-Year Plan, Two-Year Plan, Three-Year Plan, and Words of Praise and Wisdom in One Year). I thought it would be fun to alternate between the reading of the Bible in one year and Words of Praise and Wisdom in One Year. There are also quote (in pink) in the Bible which pertain to everyday life which are fun to read and give great insight. There is also a section called Reflection throughout the Bible which is very insightful and useful.

I find the NLT Version refreshing to read. The pink, flowerly cover is nice and looks appealing. However, I had to search for the devotionals. I would rather have seen more devotionals and helps to look up for various situations. The reading format is great. The type could be a little larger, but then I am a senior citizen. Thank you.

I received this one year bible from Tyndale for review and I must say it is one that I will keep by my bedside. This bible is very easy to read in the New Living Translation and with this design you can study the bible in many different forms. There are key passages that are highlighted to capture your eyes, and valuable insights from many people sharing from their hearts as God has shown Himself to them. There is instructional reading, devotions, and encouragement from many women. With this easy to understand bible you begin your study on the day you open it, and from then on you will find it easy to follow day by day. This would be a lovely Mother's Day gift, a present for one you love, or just for yourself as a devotional bible. You could even use it for a small study group. The bible is divided into 365 daily devotionals and readings for morning and night. What a great way to begin a new season!robinsnest66.blogspot.com

I've enjoyed reading the one year bible since I received it. It's a nice size to carry with me when I need something to read. The length of each days portion is just right - not too short, and not too long. I'm thankful to whoever "invented" this type of bible because it is challenging me to read each day, knowing that at the end of the year I will have read all the way through the bible.

Very pretty. Disappointed that references were not on the same page as the one I was reading - had to flip back and forth. Paper was too thin - ink shows through.

It's easy to read through the bible every year with this reader friendly version! I am so intrigued with the way biblical stories spring to life that I find I want to read more rather than less, every single day. It's easy to handle size makes it convenient to take along on doctor visits and appointments as well, to get in some extra reading time. I highly recommend this book!

What an awesome way to be IN God's Word every single day. I literally can't put it down! I look forward to seeing what "happens" during each day's reading, as if I'm reading a novel. It's a beautiful looking arrangement/cover as well. Highly recommended.
