This book has some great lessons in it. However, it is written for use in a classroom setting so if you're just home-schooling one or two children, you may want to choose a different curriculum. Many of the activities involve group discussions and role play, so it was sometimes diffficult to adapt the lessons for my son. I did enjoy that the lessons plans are written out, and there is a list of materials needed for each lesson. It also includes an extensive resource list in case you'd like to go more in-depth on any particular subject. All in all, this is a great book for teaching a group of children but not so much for the lone homeschooler.
