Very helpful notes, whether one is in a 12-step program or not. Even the notes that are built around 12 steps are very Bible based, and most notes are simply related to the Bible text itself.
Seems to me that at their root, all addictions are basically the same, and the notes here help us strip away superficial stuff and rebuild our lives based on God's Word.
So the Word of God itself is the treasure; the notes point us to that treasure and to the loving, powerful, all-wise One who speaks His word to us!

I use this translation for my personal study and meditation. It is also helpful for use with prisoners I encounter during my Prison Ministry. Recovery is something that we all must deal with and the Twelve Steps are the key.

I ordered this Bible to present to my son on his 1st birthday of sobriety. I plan to attend the NA meeting in August on his celebration and present it to him. I just know he will read it and be happy to have it. So glad I found it in your catelog.

This was the best book that I have ever perchased! It changed my life The best thing to recomend to some one who is just starting out on there long road to sobriety. Great Bible to read. I finished reading my copy last October, it was the first book that I actually read from cover to cover. yeah it took almost nine months to do but it was worth it :) God Bless , Andrew 24 San Diego

My church has been providing this little Bible to inmates for years. It is such a big help for those in a recovery program and many like its helpful devotions. You do not need to be in a recovery program to gain valuable self helps in living a more Christ like life through this Bible which can help all of us become over comers. I have weekly requests for this special Bible from inmates throughout our state.

I purchased this Bible as a take along in the car. I am not in a 12-step program or anything, but I believe everyone is recovering from something if you were a sinner and came to the Lord. I was curious about it, so I purchased the Life Recovery edition. I love the NLT translation, and this is a great addition to my Bible library and I will use it.

I like the NLT of the Bible and have for a while now enjoyed a goodly amount of Stephen Aterburn's books. So this is a wonderful combination. I purchased 3 of these Bibles as gifts and each person was very pleased with them.My one request would be that a sample of the print size be available for the buyer so that one knows if the print is suitable for some people with sight difficulties.

I find this Bible a must have for anyone in recovery of any type or just wanting to change their way of living. I also have the Celebrate Recovery Bible, but I would recommend this one over the CR Bible because of the devotionals and expanded insight into the 12 steps. I lead a CR 12-step group and find this invaluable. I have given away numerous copies and am ordering another one today.
