I usually read aloud to my family when we travel, and we picked up on this series on a road trip. We have truly enjoyed reading all 3 of them. I don't find him nearly as graphic as Ted Dekker, so wasn't offended by the descriptions at all. I felt like the characters were very well developed along the way. Hoping majorly for a fourth book! Seems like there are still a couple of characters to focus on . . .

After reading the first book I was hooked; and sorry that there are just three books. I hope a fourth one will be available soon, but only if the storyline stays as good! I'd rather wait for a good one than have a not so good one sooner.I have only one concern: Sometimes the violence is expressed a little graphically, if that is the way to say it? Mr. Odom is such a good wordsmith that I feel "implying", i.e. making my imagination work even more, would still be fine. Just my opinion, though. And personally I wish Christian fiction in general would stick with the King James Bible. Some of the translations are so watered down. (Not such good wordsmiths at work?)
