Thank You, God, for Mommy by Amy Parker is a cute picture book that illustrates the various ways moms can care for and show love to their children. A panda bear and her cub star as the rhyming text reminds the reader to be thankful for all that mommies do.
Most of the text flows smoothly and highlights enough different roles that I think everyone will be able to relate. I especially liked the illustration on the last page of a very touching interaction between momma and cub.
I received this book free from the publisher in order to read and give an honest review.

This book is so cute and both of my kids seemed to enjoy this book. My 2-year-old loved the pictures and the panda bears. As the mother, I found the artwork to be great and very eye-catching. The artist did a great job making the pictures appealing to children.
As for the book, it was so sweet! Of course, I'm a bit partial since I am a mom and I think my kids should thank God for me just as I thank God for them! The book has a baby panda thanking God for his mom, saying that he could never find a better mom if he had looked everywhere for a better mom. Then he lists the reasons why he is so thankful for his mother, from being patient when he makes a mess, for kissing his boo-boos, , for her caring and sharing, for her hugs and kisses and so much more.
I like to get B a special book for his birthday that expresses our love for him. I'm holding off on giving him this book until his birthday, because it reminds me of how much I love him and hopefully one day, how much he will love his own children. Definitely a cute book for children and moms!

Thank You God, for Mommy is a delightful board book written by Amy Parker and illustrated by Frank Endersby. It's a story of a sweet little cub thanking God for all the wonderful things his mommy does for him, from kissing boo boos to turning frowns upside down and all the other ways his mama unconditionally loves and cares for him. The illustrations are beautiful and the story is sweet for mother and child alike! Personally, I love how the cover is a padded hard cover and the pages are thick and durable for little hands! This book has been read over and over again already in my house and it definitely has the durability we look for!
I received this book free. I was not required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.

Thank You, God, For Mommy
By Amy Parker
Book Review
Thank You, God, For Mommy is a book written for infants. The book is extremely short, but this does not take away from its quality. The book is a short rhyme, which helps introduce infants to pray. The prayers are focused towards their mother and the many different things in which she does for the child that may seemed go unnoticed because of the child’s age. The book has great pictures and cutes rhymes. The book is a good reminded for children to thank God for those whom He has placed in the child’s life and reminds them to thank God for all of His provisions through them. I would highly recommend the book. The book is short enough for a bedtime prayer. The pictures are also helpful in keeping the child’s attention. Overall I would recommend the book, but I do not believe it is a must have. The book is definitely a good book though.

Absolutely Amazing!!! I love love love this book! I read it to my son and he sat through the whole thing. I love the illustrations. I love the words. I love the meanings. I sat there and read this to Jude and had tears in my eyes cause I could relate. This book is GREAT!
Usually i'm not one for wanting to just focus on mommy or daddy , but this book hit the spot for the sappy mommy. I'd like to see them make one geared for the daddy too. I could only imagine how lovely that one would be.
I save these books so my son doesn't destroy them and read them periodically and I find myself wanting to pull him aside and read this one to him all the time.
I definately recommend this book and would most assuredly recommend it to anyone else. Thank you Thomas Nelson for another amazing book!!!
5+++ stars in my book.

This is a very cute picture book. Panda is thanking God for his mommy and all she does for him/her. I think any child ages 2-7 would love this rhyming book reminding him/her of the perfect pair that they are along with mom and also reminding them of the good things that mommies do for them. The pictures are bright and colorful on this hard cardboard type book. Very durable for little ones to use. Just in time for Mother's Day. The message is very clear and presented right on the child's level. Panda thanks God for Mommy can't get much clearer and spiritual than that. I love this book and yes, I will tell others about it. This copy will go in the church nursery.

Thank you, God, for Mommy by Amy Parker is a cute 24 page book aimed for young children. On each set of 2 pages there is a little poem that starts with Thank you, God For Mommy. The little cub is thanking God for all the things his mommy does from taking care of him, fixing his boo boos, or just smiling at him.
This book is very cute. The pictures were colorful and attractive to keep the attention of my 8 month old. At the same time my 3 year old was very into the book. My wife thought this was a very adorable book and as a mom, said it was a very meaningful book to read to our boys.
Thomas Nelson provided me with this book in return for an honest review.

Thank You, God, for Mommy is a cute boardbook with "padded" outer cover, perfect for young hands to hold. The inner pages are filled with cute prose about all the ways Mommies are God's gift to their young.
The cute panda bear Mommy and Baby are seen in different scenes...staying safe in a rain storm, kissing a boo-boo, and getting ready for bed. Each two-page spread starts with the phrase "Thank You,God, for Mommy"...a repetitive phrase that young children will likely pick up on quickly.
The book should appeal to Mommies (and Daddies and other caregivers) and young children (in my estimation, age 6 months - 4 years). The soothing, repetitive lines make this book ideal for bedtime or quiet time. There are no other characters shown in the book other than Mommy and Baby.
I think this book is one of the cuter children's books I have seen recently...the illustrations are well-done, and the writer has written the book specifically for children (rather than "at" children). Well done, and I would not hesitate to give this book as a gift to a family with young children.

This adorable board book reminds us all to be thankful for our Mommy and all the things she does for us. The short rhymes convey the sweet messages of thanks very nicely.
Positives: The illustrations are wonderful and I was glad that a message of thanks was included regarding Mommy's trust and faith in God, and how she has obviously passed that on to her children.
Negatives: None
Talking Points: Every line of this book is a prayer of thankfulness to God who gives all things - including wonderful Mom's! We often have to work hard at thankfulness in our home and we often look to the Old Testament during times of complaining and selfishness. As we read about the Israelites we often learn that they built altars to remind them of God's goodness. For example, in Joshua 4 after they had crossed the Jordan river, they built an altar as a reminder of what God had done for them - a reminder to be thankful for the goodness of God. What reminders do your children have of God's goodness to your family? Maybe have your child write (with your help if needed) their own prayer of thanksgiving for mom or dad or grandma or grandpa. Remind them that God, in his goodness, has placed loving people in their lives and to Him belongs the praise!

I absolutely LOVE this book! Thank you, God, for Mommy was written by Amy Parker and illustrated by Frank Endersby and is super adorable! As a homeschooling mother of two pre-schoolers, I am always looking for great, faith-based, children's books. This simple, rhyming children's book provides kids with a sense of their mother's love and her faith in God. My favorite page says, "Thank you, God, for Mommy. Her trust and faith in You. She looks to You for answers, and she knows you'll see us through." Beautiful! Coupled with amazing artwork, this cute board book is a must for young readers everywhere!

Thank You, God, for Mommy by Amy Parker is a wonderful childrens book illustrated beautifully by Frank Endersby. It is presented as a prayer by a young panda bear offering thanks to God for his mother and all that she does for him.
This is a wonderful book that children will enjoy very much. My 4 year old really enjoyed the great pictures that accompany the story and had fun relating the book to his own great mommy! It also helps remind him to be thankful for the people in his life. It will be a great addition to your child's library.
I would recommend this book to anyone that has young children or that wants to present a thoughtful gift to a young child in their life.

Review: Thank You God for Mommy - Amy Parker - April 2011
This is one of the most cutest picture books I have read in such a long time from the amazing artwork to the wonderful rhymes on the page , that as I read them my eyes started to water and I had to ring my mother and share it with her . Thank you God for Mommy tells the story of a baby Panda and a Mommy Panda , and how the baby Panda is appreciative of God for giving him such an awesome Mommy.
This is the perfect gift for all children and if you are christian then even better as it has a god perspective to the story. This is one that every mother should read with their child and once they have read it, if their mothers are still alive and kicking, then it is something that you will want to share with them.
