Okay this was a fabulous love/Christian church history lesson that was filled with intrigue, romance, betrayal and suspense but what happen to book 4??????

Each of the Daughters of Silk stories are interesting and exciting as the author continued to follow the family during an extremely trying time. I enjoyed watching the faith of the characters develop and grow.

What happened to book 4??? Was due out a LONGGG time ago. It will be very unsatisfying if, for some reason, this series never gets a proper ending.

I love this series. The intrigue, the faithfulness of Rachelle so inspiring. A great series. It leaves me wondering when is the 4th book coming out. I actually am reading the series again and I rarely read books the second time.

I LOVE THESE BOOKS! These are simply the best! So historically accurate! I'm studying this exact time period in my history class and lo and behold every detail, even Marguerite's love "obsession" with Henry de Guise, all these things were true! I love how Ms. Chaiken incorporated these facts into the beautiful plot! Unfortunately, My history class gave away certain facts that will certainly turn up in the fourth book, such as who marguerite eventually marries! Rachelle and Fabien seem so real I found myself looking for them through my history book as well. These are wonderful books that I would recommend to every historical fiction lover!

I don't play chess, but this latest installment had me feeling as if I were eavesdropping on an intriguing, deadly, heart-stopping chess game. There is so much to sink your teeth into here--the psychology of religion, the machinations of royal intrigue, plot twists galore, and characters you root for to the last page. Rachelle and Andelot, in particular, have grown up a lot since book one, emotionally and spiritually, and I can't wait to see where their faith takes them next. From the hurry-up wedding to the daring escape, from the plot twists involving Maurice and Madalenna to the despicable Guise brothers' manipulation of Antoine, from Andelot's heart-wrenching decision to Rachelle's leap of faith, I loved it all. Great work, Linda...I cannot wait for book four!

This third book has to be the best of all in the series, they just get better and better, your on the edge of your seat not wanting to put it down. The Author has a way of making you feel like you are there, feeling all of what the characters are going through, wanting the best for those that love God. I can't wait for book #4. You just want to know what happens to Fabien and Rachelle...along with the evil queen and those she hates...amazing writing and based on the fantastic truth of our history.

This whole series is so eye-opening about the persecution of the Protestant church in France. We truly do not realize how the Inquisition affected the Faith! I love the storyline surrounding Rachelle, but the historical backdrop is so rich and full, you can't help but become entranced and believe it all to be true!

This latest book is the best so far in this series. Linda is brilliant as she weaves fiction seamlessly into historical events and throws in just the right dose of biblical truths and teaching. Not only is there intrigue and suspense which is so typical of Linda's writing but what makes this book different, I think, is that there is so much more interaction between Rachelle and Fabien which makes their romance so very touching and so heartwarming to read. In the midst of evil and darkness, they represented truth and light. The story ends on an exciting and poignant cliff-hanger and as I allowed my heartbeat to slow down I saw the little caption "Book 4,2008" I breathed with relief that there will be more to Rachelle and Fabien's story! Linda Chaikin remains one of my favourite and treasured authors.

This story is so full of suspense I was pretty much holding my breath while I was reading. The intrigues of Catherine de Medici is something to behold. I can only say that I'm glad that we don't have a monarch like her ruling our country. It's amazing how twisted and evilly calculating this Queen Mother could be. Rachelle and Fabien are caught in her snare as Fabien is forced into the Queen's service in order for her to order the death of Fabien's enemy, Duc de Guise who Fabien believes is responsible for the death of Fabien's father. The only way that Fabien could keep Rachelle away from the Madame le Serpent's coils was to marry her and keep her under palace arrest while he carries out the Queen Mother's order. Meanwhile Rachelle suspects the Queen Mother of poisoning her Grandmother and her eldest sister, Madeleine. The suspense throughout the whole story was enough to keep me on edge until I reached the ending which was kinda abrupt knowing that we would have to wait for the fourth book to be released sometime this year. I will look forward to that. Great story about two people in the fight of their lives in uncertain times in war-torn France! Linda has portrayed the historical time period well. Keep up the good work!

What a wonderful book! I couldn't wait to read the third book and was not disappointed. I was so happy to finally have Rachelle and Fabien united in marriage and enjoy the wonderment and fulfillment that union brings. Linda does a terrific job of making you feel the attachment to these two wonderful and faithful characters trying to survive in such a dark time in history. I am waiting in anticipation for the fourth book!!
