Ketola is transparent in her book as she tries to help women overcome the darkness of the after abortion effects that so many women live with by themselves. This book is a good resource for those that have had to make the decision to end their child's life because others wanted it to be ended.

Review 2 for Cradle My Heart: Finding God's Love After Abortion - eBook
I have never personally experienced an abortion but I felt that this book did a wonderful job of ministering to women who have walked down that road and are hurting. Throughout the entire book, Kim shares her story in snippets of her abortion, what led her to her abortion, and then the emotional turmoil that she later faced. She also includes stories from other women who have had abortions but have come to know the forgiveness of Christ and have let Him change their hearts and have let forgiveness comfort them.
Filled with reminders that God loves us, even after an abortion, is what I grasp might be a hard thing to understand after you have an abortion. Not only that, but knowing that you are forgiven for what you have done and you are set free. She does a wonderful job, in my opinion, of reminding her readers of these facts and reaching out to them in a way that you know Kim has walked this road, too. She is not a harsh writer, but is very sensitive to her wording and to her message. However, she doesn't back down from the fact that you need to share it with someone. Satan loves for us to not tell anyone and hide in our anguish. When you tell someone, it is so freeing and you feel that you can move forward. She gives you guidelines of who to tell, etc. I also loved how you could feel her love through the pages when she discussed whether abortion is a sin and how other people could also be held accountable for it too, if they had given you no choice about it. You could tell she was not condemning, but was staying true to what God has said in the Bible about abortion.
Not only would this book be good for a person who has had an abortion, I think it would be good for the men who have expressed remorse over an abortion, a parent who is or has strongly considering the abortion of their grandchild because of their child's actions, a counselor, or any friends of someone who has walked this road. This book is a great support tool to be able to reach out and help someone take their first step of healing. ________________ I received this book free from Litfuse Publishing Group in exchange for my honest opinion of this book.

Review 3 for Cradle My Heart: Finding God's Love After Abortion - eBook
The angst that follows an abortion is seldom, if ever, addressed at the abortion clinic or in the news. Though I’ve not had an abortion, I do know women who have, and the guilt and shame are sometimes overwhelming. Some drown it in work, alcohol, or drugs, while others suffer with depression and/or anxiety.
Kim Ketola, the author of Cradle My Heart, has had an abortion. She shares her life transparently in hopes of helping other women who’ve had an abortion get the healing she has received. She acknowledges it isn’t an easy or fast process, but through faith in Jesus Christ, healing can come. Though abortion is a physical action taken, it affects your spiritual and emotions parts more drastically. Only God can heal the spiritual aspect.
Cradle My Heart is divided into three parts:
Your Heart: examination; invitation; open conversation God’s Heart: demonstration, realization; restoration; jubilation The Whole Heart: consolation; dedication; celebration
In her book, Kim will share with you how to:
Face yourself and face God Repent and accept God’s love Forgive and be forgiven Grieve and find an end to sorrow.
I found Kim’s book to be full of love, hope, grace and mercy, all of which stem from God through His Son, Jesus. You won’t hear condemnation from God.
She gives Timeless Truths that resonate Jesus’ love to and for you. She also includes a Reflect area where you meditate on Scripture that pertains to the chapter issues she writes about. The Request section is a personal prayer about learning to trust the Lord and thanking Him for His help. You can use that specific prayer or use it as a springboard to to pour out your own soul. It’s a great starting place to check out your own feelings and state your desires to the Lord. The Respond section shares ideas of how to grow in the Lord, develop relationships, and richly care for yourself as you reflect on God’s love for you despite having an abortion.
To find a place to assist you in healing, she has a list of places to call for free and confidential assistance and referrals. To find healing and peace, please make a call today if you are grieving the loss of your child(ren). You are important to God and He wants to see you whole. My hope, after reading this review, is that you will find the acceptance and forgiveness that you are searching for. Check out and read Cradle My Heart.

This book is sensitive and shows God's compassion for areas of deep and hiden pain. It reaches the reader who will alow it to. Even those who have not had an abortion should read it for themselves and for understanding of others.
