State senator and former minister Roy Herron knows from personal experience that a Christian faith and political calling can co-exist, and in fact the former can greatly inform the latter. By examining the current attitude towards people of faith in government positions, Herron helps the reader understand what Christian duty we have to the communities and country where we live. But we should move past all the smaller reasons and arguments to the core of the fact - Christians can be good politicians (and citizens as well) by serving God first and not any other ideology. Encouraging critical thinking concerning both politicians and their policies, Herron speaks to us where we are to enlighten us about the political world that he inhabits.

Excellent book for reading before the 2008 election. We used this book for our Sunday School Class and although it was very thought provoking, it wasn't as easy to teach from as other books we have studied.
