I purchased this book as a gift for a lady at church that reads hymn stories to the congregation once a month. She used this book the Sundays during Advent to bring some of the carols and songs we sing "alive." They are interesting and information packed without being long reads.

I facilitate an adult Sunday School Class. Many of us in the class sing in the choir and this book seemed like the "perfect fit" for an Advent Study. We are taking about 3 chapters each week and "team teaching" it. There is plenty of material to take us through Advent next year as well!
Wonderful background information and I will be reminded for years to come of these stories behind the carols, etc as I sing them the the rest of my life.
