For the past two years, Craig Groeschel (www.lifechurch.tv) and his church have hosted an international multi-church campaign called ONE PRAYER, a month-long concerted focus on unifying the many different, diverse churches participating by praying together and serving their local communities. In 2009, ONE PRAYER campaign attracted over 2,000 churches and over 1,000,000 church members. Many of these churches are high-profile evangelical churches with pastors who are also successful authors and speakers. The campaign continues to attract interest from more and more churches and ministries. The 2010 campaign, scheduled for June, is expected to grow by 50 percent. This compilation book features chapters by seventeen of the best and brightest participant pastors, including Andy Stanley, Francis Chan, Jentezen Franklin, Perry Noble, Steven Furtick, and others.

Review 1 for What Is God Really Like?
Date:December 21, 2012
This book is wonderful. It was so refreshing to read chapters by so many writers all in one book. In chapter 16, titled "God Is More" one of the contributors, Chris Hodges writes: "I can pretty much guarantee you that whenever you obey God when he asks you to step out of your comfort zone, there will always be someone trying to rein you back to their reality. Even our well-meaning Christian friends might try to talk you out of whatever it is God is calling you to do."
"If we're going to worry about what others think, we'll simply never get more of God."
Get the book and discover what we are missing if we fail to make practical application of God's word in our lives.

Inspiring and encouraging

This book highlights the different aspects of who God is and how awesome His love is for his children. Knowing His character draws us into a more intimate relationship with our awesome God, the King of Kings and Lord of Lords.

Review 3 for What Is God Really Like?
some spots of weak theology
Date:November 26, 2012
while many of the individual chapters offer interesting illustrations, too many of them are weak in their theology and present man as God's top interest rather than having a solid understanding that God's chief interest is in His own glory not ours.....further, man is presented as flawed but not fatally hopeless without God....without God we are dead and hopeless not just in trouble
as i said, interesting but not great theologically
