I am thrilled with the Apologia Exploring Creation with Astronomy Textbook! The text is already divided into lessons for you - YAY! I love this!. The pictures are fantastic and I love the "unit study" approach you get when using this for a science curriculum.

*ENJOYMENT: "Let's do Science!" is frequently heard in our home. I give full credit to Apologia. We enjoy "Exploring Creation with Astronomy" due to its conversational writing style. I recommend this book for your home library whether your children homeschool, attend private school, or attend public school.
*CHEWABLE BITS : The set-up of this book makes it simple to divide readings, projects & experiments into manageable sections.
*AESTHETICS: My youngest loves to take the book off the shelf and peruse through this book, as well as the other Fulbright Science books. Interesting pictures are included.
*LEARNING: Oh yes ~ we ALL are learning a lot!

I'm really enjoying using this text - great book, amazing and interesting information and the presentation of the material is very user friendly. I'm using this text for my K grade children and they love the information and the expirements. While the book is definately geared for older (maybe 1st/2nd grade or higher) I'm not disappointed that I bought it or that I'm presenting it to the children. We'll hit this book again in the future. It's a great library addition as well.

I have not officially used this product yet. We got an early start to next years curriculum so we can plan our lessons out for the year. So far from what i have read it seems like a solid book. I like the fact that it focuses on one particular subject like astronomy, or zoology, or human anatomy. Something inside told me that this glossing over of many different subjects in science or any form of schooling is not beneficial and in the introduction of this book it explains there is research that backs up this premise. Which also causes students to love the learning even more.

Ok I knew my kids would like this, but I didn't expect to like it so much myself! I find myself reading this book in my free time because it is so interesting! My husband also enjoys it and it often gets pulled out and discussed at the dinner table. All I can say is BUY IT! So worth every penny! I also bought the lab kit and I really recommend that as well-for me I end up looking at the things needed at the last minute and puting off driving to town to get them for a couple days so it is handy to have it all in one box ready when needed and requiring fewer trips to town for me :)

My children ages 8 and 6 have really enjoyed this study of astronomy. I was a little worried that it would be over their heads, but this material really kept their interest well. I think the notebooks are a big help, too.

My kids love this book. They can't wait for science, and we end up spending time looking up more stuff online about the subjects. My kids are 7 and 5, and I don't think you would want to go much younger. This book does approach astronomy with a very biblical worldview, and a young earth view. However almost everything is backed up with solid scientific evidence.

This book is a good investment! We are a homeschool family and I appreciate the presentation of this book. The material is a great introduction to the science of space. The experiences are quite easy and you can find Lapbook in internet to help memorise the subject. And this is one of the few book I intend to keep after my years homescholing, to go back to it or share it with grandkids!

Apologia's Astronomy has us hooked! My children love to listen to the textbook and then do the experiments. It's also great because it's written in a way that they can read it themselves as well.

My 6 year old son is very interested in space. It is hard to find a book about space that contains the truth...God created the universe. This book does that, and more. He reads it on his own in his spare time. He has told me three times he is so thankful I bought this for him. He has told me so many things I do not know. We've done some of the projects and they are fun. We are Robinson homeschoolers, and while this book is not part of our curriculum, he loves reading it in his spare time, and I am seeing the RC method beginning to work! He is teaching himself! Highly recommend this book to any youngster (6-12) interested in space.

My ds 6 is psyched for science everday! We have only been using the book for two weeks, but so far we LOVE IT! Every day ds is bringing me the book asking me to read before I can get around to science. The pictures are great, and the writing style of the author is wonderful and easy to comprehend. I'd read other reviews that said that the young explorers series was so advanced that most kids couldn't get much out of it until 3rd grade. So not the case here. My guy is very bright no doubt about it! But I think that any parent who approaches the book with enthusiasm will find that their children are learning lots. I am so happy to have found apologia. I am loving the biblical worldview and context. When we first began my little guy said "Is this a Jesus book? I thought this was science." Much to my dismay I see that the the worlds secular theology had already begun to creap into our home despite my efforts to teach him truth alone. It is almost impossible to find biblically/scientifically accurate books. I am so thankful for apologia's hand in this venture for truth.

I'm homeschooling twin first graders and loving this science textbook. The kids understand almost everything and we all look forward to the readings. I love the approach of delving into a subject and soaking up lots of details rather than skimming over material and slowly building on it through the years. I recommend the workbooks as well. I think we are more thorough having the workbooks to keep us accountable.
