What more can I say that others haven't. Apolgia is great if you want your children to have faith-based science. It is very engaging and actvity based. My 11 year describes science as "fun" - a middle schooler who says that a subject is fun? That is high praise at this age. She looks forward to science more than any other subject. I am looking forward to my 4 year old starting Apolgia in a couple of years! I can't wait to try more and more of Apologia's books. (I think they are fun too)

Apologia's Exploring Creation science books are fantastic! They are based on a biblical worldview of science and explain God's creations with such clarity. My children love these books and are excited each year for the next one. The notebooking is a great way to reinforce what the children have studied and to keep for their future lessons. The experiments are fun and convenient with household items. So far, we have read through all the Zoology books and finished the Astronomy book last year. I highly recommend Apologia science curriculum for all your years of teaching.

This is our second Apologia book. My son likes them very much. They have lots of "hand on" experiments and website links. We plan to do them all.

I was thrilled with finding this book through researching the website looking for a science book for my 6th grader. I have plans to continue with the following zoology books for the rest of his middle school years. The material is easy to read and the pictures are vibrant with great detail. He loves animals- caring for them, learning about them, and loving them. I believe these books will simply become an asset to our book collection after we have used them for our home school curriculum.

My older daughter has completed many science books with Exploring Creation series starting with physical science and finishing with Chemistry this year. The Biology series is phenomenal! I liked it so much, I started my youngest on this series and will continue till she finishes high school as well! This is a fantastic book for tactile learners with hands on experience and puts information in a manner the student feels is interesting.

This book is wonderful. There are many interesting hands on projects and activities, the content is well written and the pictures are beautiful. We had a bit of a slow start with the chapter on classification (my 3rd and 5th grader weren't interested) but plugged on and now they love it. Looking forward to getting the next book.

We love this curriculum! Apologia incorporates conversational style writing with core scientific concepts that happen to support Biblical truth. So often I find "creation science" curriculum to be heavy on the creation and light on the science. Not so with Apologia. Pretty much anyone who wants to provide their homeschoolers with a quality creation science education at a very reasonable price can use this curriculum. For the price many other publishers skimp on colored pictures and diagrams. Again, not so with Apologia. Literally every page contains revelant, full-color images. Great for my visual learner. Lessons are reinforced with a Notebooking Jounal. While not a requirement, I do like having a consistant looking journal format, especially for students who are new to the concept of independent journaling.
My daughter liked the curriculum so much we puchased Zoology 3 and Botany for this year as well. Although Apologia intends for a one year study, students who are capable can accelerate their learning by including more lessons per week.
I really appreciate publishers who produce high quality, science-rich creation materials. As a former public school teacher I've seen a variety of secular science curriculum. Apologia's Zoology 1 course can easily content with any of them.

I bought this book for a co-op class my first grader is attending. The class ranges from 1st-6th grade and uses this text. The information is relevent for all the ages - understandable to the younger group and interesting to the older ones. The author uses great "real life" analogies that provide a good understanding of the concepts introduced. It is also filled with lots of fun, simple and educational experiements.

This curriculum is the best I've seen. It works for ALL ages. It is not "school work" it is fun. My 6 year old daughter loves this science. I would not use it without the notebook, (although you can) she loves having the notebook and the things you can put in it. Cutting, pasting, drawing, and whatever you want. It makes learning fun!

This is a great book, there are tons of projects in here to do. And the kit you can get to go with this is awsome. But It is a little above my 5-7 yearolds.
I learn alot though too. We are still learning and they love the projects.
