I was very disappointed that it had no red lettering in it. When we made the purchase I read about this Bible and it said red lettering....when we recieved it there are no red lettering for Gods words. Very disappointed in this Bible.

I very much like the NLT and I have purchased this product for a friend who is getting started in Bible Study. This study Bible is very thorough and easy to get around in. I frequently recommend it.

It all really depends on what you look for as features in a Bible. I saw only two downfalls with this Bibke and that was that the words that Jesus spoke were not in red and there did no coontain a concordance, a dictionary, or maps in the back of t he Bible. There are many other features that are in this Bible that are not in others. There are encouraging words and detailed outlines throughout the Bible that are not in others. Personalizing my Bible with my name had a nice touch to it also.

The reason that I"m giving it this 3.5 stars is due to the words of Christ are not printed in red. This is perplexing as well as a drawback for me personally (if I had known, I would have brought from another publisher) to the original (regular size) does have this feature.
