We are reading A Childs History of the World and it was a good decision to get SOTW in audio as an accompaniment for review.
Initially I was dissapointed with the strong accent of the narrator (we are not American), but now am so impressed with Jim Weiss' narration and story telling that I have ordered more of his audio products. -
Luv2ReadAge: 45-54Gender: Female5 Stars Out Of 5Repetative ListeningFebruary 1, 2015Luv2ReadAge: 45-54Gender: FemaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5My children like to listen to the audio CDs while studying the current historical emphasis in our home, as well as to use these audio CD's as review. In fact, it's handy to take along on trips for the whole family to listen. Having these SOTW audio CDs promotes repetitive hearing of historical stories. This has been a definite plus for our homeschool endeavors.

patmcdesqNJAge: Over 65Gender: male5 Stars Out Of 5An excellent CD for elementary schoolers to hear!October 3, 2011patmcdesqNJAge: Over 65Gender: maleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5This is a reading of the exact words in the written volume 2, which bears the same name. A fine introduction of the world for young minds that is ideal to have in the car for those long trips because adults can also enjoy, learn or review the history of civilizations that had been on earth before us all. It is good to remember such history. As George Santayana wrote in The Life of Reason: "Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it."

Rebecca Ullrich5 Stars Out Of 5April 28, 2010Rebecca UllrichThese audio cds are wonderful. We have a child with a middle school aged child with a reading delay. The cds allow her to listen to the great content in the book instead of having to read it. The narrator is interesting and the style of the book is engaging.

We listen to the CD in the car and it gets played frequently. I bought the CD as part of the 11 year old's home school program and was surprised how much we all enjoy it.
