W W Norton Writing with Ease Level 3 Workbook

A new series on teaching writing from the author of "The Well-Trained Mind", Susan Wise Bauer lays out an innovative plan, one that combines the best elements of old-fashioned writing instruction with new educational methods. Designed to be used alongside the sold-separately core text Writing with Ease, this workbook provides lessons clearly organized by week and day. Scripted for maximum ease of use, narrations, questions, dictations, and teaching instruction (including definitions for words used in the readings) are all provided within the lessons; the back of the book contains referenced student workbook pages and the needed reading passages and sentences. Covers one year of study; this workbook is third in the series. 272 pages, softcover. Pages are reproducible for in-family use only. Grade 3.

Overall, we have been pleased with Ms. Bauer's logical approach to writing instruction.
At the beginning our child was a “reluctant writer.”
However, over the course of several years, they have blossomed into a “confident writer.”
Since our child has accomplished the goals/objectives within this curriculum, they will move onto Learning Language Arts Through Literature Gray Level in the fall.
