The Second book in The Quilted Heart series follows the stories of Emilie and Quaid. The story takes place in Mississippi where Quaid's Irish family moved to. Emilie lives with her father after her mother dies. He wants to send her to school and though she loves him she feels like he is keeping her from staying with her friends and the man she now finds quite attractive Quaid.

I love this book! You can almost just fall right into the story. The characters are so real and become real people inside your head. Guys this really is a chick flick book so be warned. :)

In this book, we meet Caroline and Captain Garrett who are some of the main characters in Prairie Song. This book introduces Garrett as the leader of the wagon train heading out west and we have the beginnings of the women thinking about leaving Missouri.

I liked how there was mention of the characters in the first novella and how they are progressing in their life without taking over the main story.

I found Quaid to be a breath of fresh air. I could see his eyes, his smile and I could hear his Irish accent. It does not take much to fall in love with this character. And I do not want to spoil anything but the end of the book surprised me. It was perfect.

Until next time, live life one page at a time!
