Image Entertainment In Search of A Golden Sky, DVD

After the tragic death of their mother and their father's disappearance, the Morrison children have no alternative but to live with their uncle Zep. They fearfully dread leaving civilization to live in his secluded cabin in the wilderness. But when Zep shares his knowledge and love, the children come to care deeply for both the kindhearted old man and their new life among nature's majestic splendor. The county welfare department opposes to this living arrangements and rules that the children must be placed in foster homes. Their treacherous journey pits them against the perilous side of nature, but this true family story, filled with spectacular shots of nature's breathtaking beauty, proves that the "golden sky" is out there for those with the courage to make their dreams come true. Approx. 94 minutes.

even though this was supposed to be a true story (which is wahat caught my attention in the first place), this movie was so overdone, so absolutely NOT believable, it struck me as being so phony, that it was not worth watching. this movie gets a full hands down and i definately would not recommend it to anyone!

Family friendly - a bit cheesy, not great acting or filming, and a pretty dated, but a very clean movie. I run a church library and watched the entire movie out of concern due to the review by W from South Georgia and I don't know what their 16 yo heard, but there is NO profanity in this movie and certainly NOT the F word.

I bought this for my kids. We only watch older family films. I did not watch this movie before my 16 yo watched it. She informed me that in one scene the unfriendly neighbor used the F word. Not what we were expecting. Had I known this I would never have bought it.

Good story but the filming and actors were second rate. I could not watch it to the end but my husband stayed up to watch it and told me the ending.
