Clearly states views and priorities of those who chose not to stay with the church.

My daughter and one of our pastor's sons have chosen not to follow God which breaks our hearts. We want to know why and this book articulates it.

Traditional worship has to change to become more application oriented, "what have you done for the world today?"

Reach their hearts before their minds will see the depths of understanding a true Christian must have.

Do to this excerpt in section 8 titled "repressive", I can not recommend this book.

"I found that the Bible's sexual ethic is much more complex, more nuanced, than I expected. This (the 20 something) generation needs us (the greater than 30) to be honest about the fact that the Bible is not crystal clear on all matters of sexuality. Together, we need to search it, test it, probe its essential meaning in its historical, cultural, and literary context."
