"Assumptions that Affect our Lives" is a must read for all Christians. I have read, re-read and given away several copies of this book. I can recall many facts I learned in reading this book and how my thinking has radically changed as a result. I have prayed to be transformed by the renewing of my mind for years - God used this book to help me do just that. It is easy and clear to understand how we view issues such as education, abortion, work, etc when you understand the affect the Greek and Hebrew cultures have had in forming our culture. Highly recommended!

My daughter and I used this book with the Starting Points curriculum (by David Quine), and found it to be LIFE CHANGING! I have been a Believer for 24 years, but this book made me realize just how much of the 'world' has crept into the church and Christianity in general. I HIGHLY recommend this book to ALL - Teens, Young Adults, Christians, Pastors, Sunday School Teachers, Homeschoolers, Biblestudy groups, etc.This book challenges the reader to take a closer look at what you believe to be true and why. The Author uses Biblical foundations to examine the effect our culture, different world views, our church, & even our own beliefs have had on Christianity & the Church today.After reading Assumptions the reader will walk away with a new found 'VIEW', based on the Bible, of what is 'Sacred' and what is 'Secular'. The reader will also have a new conviction to follow GOD's WORD in EVERY aspect of this life He's given us.
