I bought this for my teenage granddaughter. She was thrilled. She says she reads the bible now like she would a novel. She has a much greater understanding.

This book has to be the best companion Bible I have ever used. I use this Bible the way my sister does, and read passages from my NIV Bible (also purchased from Christianbook.com), and then use the Message Bible for clarification of the passage if the message is not clear, or I desire a better perspective. I love the message. God's word written in our everyday language....just like the Hebrew and Greek languages were to those back in the day.

I think that "The Message Remix" simplifies God's Word to the point that it is actually twisted; and loses its meaning. If you are having trouble understanding the NIV or NLT, then don't buy a twisted version, but rather pray that God would give you understanding.

This is an awesome version of the Bible and it is great to have number divisions but with this hardcover edition, if you cart your Bible around, the binding may come apart. Nav press does have a guarantee on their Bible but I would recommend you consider the "Bonded Leather" edition!
