In many ways this story is a parable - but it is also a powerful moving contemporary story. Very character driven - and the characters are well drawn. Initially the story started slowly - but once I got through the first 50 pages or so I could not put it down. After reading The Debt as well - I plan to read all of Angela Hunt's books. This is one gifted author!A wonderful read!!!!

The story is intriguing and the characters are well written and well developed with realistic flaws and emotions. Occasionally the dream sequences got a little unrealistic, but the book as a whole was captivating.
