Southern Fried Christmas is a love story, but it’s also a story about family. Family relationships, family traditions and family members reaching out to show their love and friendship toward those outside of the family.
The author has a gifted way of reaching through the pages of her book and pulling in the reader. I feel like I know the people and would be quite comfortable joining in their Christmas celebration.
The sweet romance that engulfs Denny and Kelly comes on so naturally and seems so right. The pace is perfect—the story moves along, but without rushing. I especially like that Denny and Kelly look for God’s guidance and direction. The faith part is written in a very natural and realistic way.
The story stays with me long after reading the last page.
