This book had been a blessing to my personal devotions as well as an aid in my preparatory work for preaching and teaching. The author talks in very plain English and gives alot of insight to each book of the Bible.

I am absolutely a fan of the books and commentaries by John Phillips. Being a new pastor, his books have helped me in the preparation of sermons. I even used them extensively while in college. The easy readability is amazing. I recommend these books to any one wanting a deeper and clearer understanding of the Scriptures.
