Having adopted myself, it was nice to read a book from the perspective of an adoptive parent. There were many times I found myself wanting to put down the book and applaud! Moore makes great effort of differentiating between his views and personal experiences and doctrine. He does a brilliant job of seeking to weave his experiences into the plan of God for the church to be engaged in the plight of orphans. I highly recommend this book to church leadership seeking to better understand the need for 'adopting' churches and for any family interested in adopting.

Awesome book! Adoption will never look the same whether you are adopting, helping others adopt, or helping orphans. I not only learned about adoption, but have grown with new understanding of what God has done in adopting me into His forever family.

A book every pastor and layman should read. It's a book about adoption and more. It's a book of theology. Moore faithfully deals with the issues of children, families, and the value of human life in the context of biblical theology. It reaches head and heart in a way that is helpful and insightful.

As a parent that is in the final stages of foster parenting to adopt our son, this book showed the steps of adoption that we were going thru in comparison to the steps that God takes when we become his children. Alot of thought and truths are in each page of this book. I got an extra copy to keep put up for our son to read along with any other children that we might adopt or have in the future. I recommend this book very highly and look forward to seeing all the children in the world brought not only into christian homes, but adopted into God's family.
