I do teaching and fill-in preaching in my church and I wanted a bible of the best quality with readable type. I got it in this bible. I have many bible already and didnt need another one, but I saw this and took a chance and it was a gamble that paid off. The calfskin cover is the softest and most deluxe I have ever had on a bible. The bible lays open flat when it's open which makes it easier to use for teaching and preaching. The type size is just perfect. I am so glad I purchased this bible. In fact, I want to order another one just to have on hand. The quality is the best I've ever seen and owned and I have several other top of the line bibles that dont measure up to this one. I prefer the NASB translation and this is exactly that. Of coarse it's the scripture is why we get bibles, but the extras sure help make it nice. If your looking for a top quality bible, this is it. I am so happy with my purchase.

Review 2 for NASB Large-Print Ultrathin Reference Bible--bonded leather, black
I am quite pleased with the leather binding, the print size, and the boldness of the print. The reference notes are in very small font but apparently that's necessary to stay within the thin format. The overall size is very good and handy for a carry Bible. I prefer thumb indexed Bibles and do wish that option had been available. This is an excellent, easy to read, carry-size version of the NASB and I am quite pleased. As always, CDB's service was excellent.

The Bible was very good. My eyes are not as good as I thought and the print was too small for me to read comfortably. Therefore, I had to return it. I would like the same Bible in large print but still be thin and light weight. I have the NABS study Bible. My husband is reading it and likes it. It is too heavy for my to read everyday.

Review 5 for NASB Large-Print Ultrathin Reference Bible--bonded leather, black
Given that a bible is God's Word, and that the NASB is supposed to be the most literal translation, then this particular binding is the closest to the glory it deserves that I have ever run across. It is very inviting and dependable. The format, the pages, everything about it is simply the best. I just wanted to quit comparing versions and find one that is comfortable and easy on the eyes so I could spend more time focusing and relying on what I read. This is it.

The only addition we would make to the many wonderful features would be: Jesus' words in RED. We looked at many Bibles and this NASB translation met our needs best. Price was good, too.

This Bible is very easy to carry around. I keep it in my car for quick access. I really enjoy the cover and the color combination. I wished the print was a little larger font but overall this is a good bible that is light weight and very easy to tote around.

I was hoping for even LARGER print, and I even thought it might be available in a larger-print, Quest-type Study Bible which would have been perfect. Not in the NASB translation, apparently.

This bible is very well made. The leather is soft and flexible. Smyth sewn bindidng lays flat when reading. Very easy to read font. Plan to use it for a lifetime and pass on. God willing, many generations of my family will read the truth from these same pages. God be praised!

I bought this for a friend who just became a new believer in Christ as a testimony and encouragement that God does care about him. The bible is slim and not too bulky to carry and he loved it.

Review 12 for NASB Large-Print Ultrathin Reference Bible--bonded leather, black
This is the best Bible I have ever used. The NASB is undisputed as the most literal and accurate English translation of the Bible. This updated version has removed the "thee's" and "thou's" when addressing God, which makes reading the Psalms especially easy when compared to the previous 1970s editions of the NASB. The 10 point large print font is very easy to read, yet not embarrassingly geriatric like other giant print Bibles. The selection of different font styles for headings, texts, Old Testament quotes and references, provide the most attractive eye appeal of any Bible I've ever seen. Additionally, the paper allows for marker high-lighting without ink bleed-through. It appears my ongoing search for the perfect Bible is finally over!

Review 14 for NASB Large-Print Ultrathin Reference Bible--bonded leather, black
It took me a while to find a Bible I like. I won't comment too much on the translation, as it is very subjective, except that I can meditate on verses from this translation with the assurance of the literalness of the words. Another thing that I appreciate about the NASB is that any words added to the text, such as to improve sentence flow or clarify "sentence fragments", are italicized. That way, I can note when words did not appear in the original text.
The quality of the Bible surprised me. The Leathertex cover is incredibly smooth and buttery, and quite supple after a few days of conscious "rippling".the pages are thin, of course, but thick enough to block off the text on the other pages, so as to not be as distracting.
I was disappointed with the inside cover and presentation pages though. They were outdated in design and made of a cheap material. Definitely not something I would use to present this Bible as a gift. However, it suits my own personal needs, and I am very happy.
I do not plan to hilight anything in this Bible, so I cannot comment on any bleeding writing utensils would leave on the pages.
After leaving my Bible out and laid open for a few hours for a couple of days, the Bible became easier to open and lay flat. In areas closer to the covers, however, you will either need to press down on the gutter to make the Bible stay open, or hold it down. I'm sure that after a few more weeks, it would stay open all the time; the leathertex is surprisingly conforming yet firm.
I would also like to comment on how masculine this Bible looks. In my opinion it's right on the border between modern and classic looking, and would make a perfect gift for young and middle aged men.
Overall, I highly recommend this Bible. It's definitely worth the price!

Review 17 for NASB Large-Print Ultrathin Reference Bible--bonded leather, black
This is the Bible to get if you travel heavily and want something that has "everything you need and nothing you don't need." It is also compact and light enough that it won't cause your international carry-on to be banned by the baggage police at the airport. It has the NASB text (the newer one, without the "thees, thys, and thous"), maps, center references, and a small concordance. Like! Like! Like!

Review 18 for NASB Large-Print Ultrathin Reference Bible--bonded leather, black
I travel a great deal, so the thickness and weight of a Bible matter to me a great deal. I expected this Bible to be approximately the same size as others with the description "Ultra-Thin." This Bible is actually much thicker, and I would have known this if I had paid more attention to the dimensions listed on the CBD website. It has many great things about it, but on international flights where carry-on weight is restricted to 7 kg (15 lbs), it is simply too large to take as it puts my bag over-limit on weight. For home, church, or office use, it is great.

The best buy i can think of for a reference bible. Large bold print for old eyes. more references than most study bibles more than the esv study bible. Cover is excellent,a little stiff but losens up and lays flat. NASB trans is the best.
