The Great Commission has been taken seriously by the church throughout the ages. Tuttle ingeniously organizes his material around key figures (e.g., Paul, Patrick, Boniface, Columba, Luther, Wesley, Carey), discussing the context of each one's ministry, what the particular approach was, and the impact it had. 496 pages, softcover. Abingdon.

GREAT book. I have just read two complete sections and really appreciate Tuttle's way of relaying 'dry' history in ways that alternately tickle your funny bone AND significantly impact your Christian walk. If you want a book that will give you a GLOBAL historical perspective of the church - this book is it. I highly recommend it.
