This Bible was recommended to me by my pastor's wife. It has a wealth of information. This "leather" edition was the only one I was able to find. And at a great price. I love CBD!

The notes in this bible provide a good political, archaeological and historical background without seeking to provide a theological understanding of scripture which i find refreshing. I can prayerfully read this bible and be inspired by the Holy Spirit without being distracted by the commentary. The text size could be a wee bit bigger but it is still highly readable.

This bible has everything! I love the study notes it has before you read the chapters. It also has interesting facts about pictures and the old days of Jerusalem. I love studying this bible as it's easy to read, great notes, and just great to have around. Thanks for a wonderful product!

To add the information of archeologists and historians to the bible expands one's undertanding of the world in which these events took place, and also provides evidence that the things in the bible really happened, and that those who wrote were real people. Many archeologists took on the field to DISprove the reality of the scriptures, but were unable to do so and now believe.

I completely love this Bible! I'm an archaeologist so I really appreciate the cultural historical context. I love the notes on archeaology sites and tie-ins to other ancient Near East cultures. Also, I was concerned that it would be too big for my Bible cover, but it fit perfectly despite its thickness.

Wow this Bible is like a seminary in a book. I bought it for my wife and as a seminary grad myself was very impressed with the quality of the articles. I would highly recommend this Bible to someone who is seeking to really grasp the full context of scripture and the time when it was written.

This is the finest study bible I have ever seen . it just came today and I can't put it down.It really makes you want to dig into it and study. Makes you feel like you are there!! Beautiful pictures and soo much information. I am so very pleased. I am ordering another one today. This Bible will make even those who hate to read get into the word.
