I have read some of the reviews thus far... And I have to say as far as Christian films go, this was one of the best.
Oh no, there is a scene with teens drinking (out of red plastic cups, no less). Oh no, the teen said a bad word in church.
It's life, folks. And the pastor did not applaud him for swearing but for being real and genuine - something that is hardly ever done by Christians because we're too busy putting on a show for everyone else to see.
This film is a step in the right direction and tackles a lot of issues that teens deal with.

There were good points to the movie but it is hard to not focus on the negative. This is a movie that didn't need them. First foul language used even during the youth group and later the pastor says that was the coolest thing he had seen. Next there was multiple scenes of drinking, drug use, a sex scene and girls wearing revealing tops and short skirts. The worst I felt was the girlfriend was going to get an abortion and the boyfriend says I will support you either way. I would have more respect for the writer if this were a secular writer instead of a pastor. I find this disappointing and disturbing.

This gave our teen a lot to think about. How our actions or lack of actions can effect some one. We have a life to live for the purposes of God not ourselves and this speaks to our purpose for life.

This movie shows what can happen to make a person want to committ suicide and the saddening effects it brings to the people around him. Very good, inspiring movie that makes you think "today, how can I help a person who is thinking about suicide".

"It shows the truth, how people commit suicide and why, how people slip away from friends they knew, and how we've got to keep them alive," says my teen son. My teen daughter has this to add, "Every teen should see it and every adult, just not little kids, because it has some language. It was good; I'd just give people a little warning, in case someone wanted to watch this with a little kid." She thought they probably wouldn't do that, since it's hard enough to talk about suicide, but the language didn't help. The language was the only thing which took this from 5 stars to 4.

I purchased this movie to show at church to my teen Sunday School. They loved this movie. One of the students saw a girl standing alone crying at school a few days later and went up to her. She ended up inviting her to our next movie night. She went and enjoyed herself. This was a good movie with a powerful message. I have ordered many other movies to show at movie night at church.

I highly recommend this to all teenage parents and those that work with the youth. It is true reality check for what our teens deal with in world as well as in the church. This movie should be shared at church on a youth night.

my teen son watched this with me. Very real to life. Shows that there are definite consequences to our actions. But God is a loving and forgiving Father. Being open to sharing our faith and being an example will not always be comfortable, but will reap benefits at some point in time. A great movie for youth group with discussion time to follow the viewing.

Excellent at showing the Goliaths our youth face. Teen suicide is very real today. This movie may help some identify the cry of their friends and show them how to extend their hand to help.

I ordered this DVD to watch with our family over Christmas
Break. We were not disappointed! Our youngest is 12 and I think that might be the lower appropriate age limit because of the subject matter. I plan to offer it to our church youth group because the message is important in today's cultural climate.

For 8th grade level and up. Serious topics need discussion with viewers. Great for a high school youth group with a leader. Otherwise, parents should preview and be ready for discussion. Impact movie
