The book is a little hard to read hypothetically, because of the severity of my depression. I would recommend this book to someone who needs to understand how someone else deals or has to deal with depression.

I have been struggling with anxiety for years and probably depression to a certain degree. At first I was skeptical about LaHaye's book because the feel (the paper used and the printing) was of poor quality.
Once I got past the initial feel of the book, it offers a lot of wonderful advice on depression and anxiety, dealing with it, why we struggle with it, what God's Word has to say about it, how living a life through Christ can help win the battle, how positive thinking can be very beneficial, and a whole lot more. It's a very helpful book that can be referred to time and time again.

I read this book years ago and it was the key to winning over depression. Excellent book. Since then I have bought several to give to others to help them learn how to manage depression and conquer it. It's an awesome teaching and I recommend it to everyone.

I read the original book and followed the instructions. It took some time but I was able to completely come out of depression using the instructions in this book and through a great deal of prayer. I highly recommend it. I give away many copies to those I see need it.

This was the first book I read about depression. It helped me to understand why I was feeling the way I was feeling and moved me toward healing. I would recommend it highly...
