WOW, make sure you have tissue on hand for this movie! We had read some reviews of the movie and sat down with our 2 kids (12 & 15) to watch it and we were blown away. One of the best films I've ever seen about love and forgiveness. This movie not only glorifies Christ it goes a step beyond all other faith-based films because it's honest about the world we live in...and the acting is incredible!! This movie is about mending relationships, loving and forgiving people and pointing them to Christ! Thank you to everyone involved in this beautiful story!!

Most movies you know what you're going to get before you put it in the DVD player. With Reconciliation, you won't be able to guess how it will play out. It is unlike any other movie.
What's most striking is the authentic, respectful dialog between sharply divided people. This movie doesn't shy away from putting people with opposing worldviews together in a room to force them to deal with their differences. The interactions are priceless. Someone can try to explain it to you, but you've got to watch this movie for yourself.
For those of you wondering... yes, it presents the gospel. But not in the way you expect. Give it a watch and tell me if you've seen it done this way before.

I’m not one to watch movies over and over again, but I’ve watched Reconciliation 4 times now because I keep sharing it with friends and family. And to be honest, it gets better and better every time I watch it. The story of the father and son’s road to reconciliation after many years of painful estrangement is such a beautiful testimony of how the Lord works in each of our lives, first to reconcile us to Him through Jesus, and then to stretch us, mold us and make us whole.
This movie is not about a gay father. It’s not about an angry son. It’s about the power of the Gospel, forgiveness, love and reconciliation. It has touched friends who have been hurt by their own parent(s) who chose something else—alcohol, adultery, drugs, selfishness, etc.—over their family; friends who have been holding on to a painful past; friends who have been hurt so deeply they hid it away for years simply hoping it would go away. And most importantly, this movie has touched friends who are not Christians, and who perceive Christianity as full of hypocrisy— because it breaks many stereotypes our society has placed on people, giving a fair voice to everyone.
You won’t find a better film out there that presents the Gospel this shamelessly, is beautifully written, vibrantly acted, and more superbly produced than Reconciliation.
