Trying to connect the current events with the Holy Land of the Bible? This resource fills in the blanks with transparent maps of modern-day Mediterranean and Middle Eastern countries that lie flat over Bible maps showing the lands and cities where the patriarchs, Jesus, and the apostle Paul traveled. This deluxe version features a companion CD-ROM.
The CD-ROM includes JPG's of all of the maps in the book, so that you can use them in your own Bible material or make your own PowerPoint. presentations, and PDF's of all of the maps so that you can make overhead transparencies or full-page handouts. (The digital files on this CD-ROM are for personal use only, not to transmit, use on the Internet, or for sale.)

This helps the understanding of the geography in Bible times contrasted with the 21st century. I had the standard edition (about 20 pages), loaned it out, and now needed a replacement. :-) I decided to replace it with the deluxe edition. The extra information is very helpful along with the option of being able to print from the CD for my classes. I also bought the pamphlet which is handy to carry all the time in my Bible case.

The great thing about this book is that it has a disclaimer saying it can be reproduced for classroom purposes. I was able to take it to a FedEx Office and Office Depot to make color copies of the maps for my Sunday School class.

I am more than pleased with this product the color is great the extra information was a nice addition to the overall book, I would encourage anyone to buy this it is well worth the price.

I have been looking for a set of Bible maps that showed what the countries are today and this has it with overlays so it is very clear. It helps in my weelkly Bible study. I plan to use the CD that came with it to make slide shows to share with my class. I am very very pleased with this procuct!

This is a wonderful resource that I plan to use for many years studying history in our homeschool. I only wish it came with the cd in paperback. Not a huge deal breaker though. WELL worth the money especially if you are a visual learner.

I received the book on Monday, having a class on Monday night I was able to enhance the teaching on the Pauline Epistles . It really brought context to Paul's journeys . I have since made use of the maps in every Sunday morning discipleship class, it really is a very useful resource . I would highly recommend it to any teacher,pastor, or congregation !!!

This is a nice map book that is put together well. I was somewhat disappointed because there are very few pages of maps. I can understand the few pages but the price for the book should reflect the substance. I rated this book 3 stars because of the exorbitant price for so few pages.

I am absolutely thrilled with the Then and Now Bible Maps, Deluxe Edition. Since I have poster-sized versions of a few of the maps and access to many of these maps in the Rose Book of Bible Charts, Maps & Timelines - I was a little hesitant initially about making the purchase. But having the selection with the overlays is wonderful. It is so much better than looking back and forth between "Then" and "Now" maps. The CD-ROM makes lesson prep a snap also for map visuals that can be handed out to the children in my Sunday School Class individually or for group projects. They really enhance the learning experience. I was also appreciative of the fact that the maps that have overlays can be printed with or without the overlay info just as they are in the book. Everything in the book is on the CD. They also enlarge nicely if you have a program that you can do that with. I highly recommend this resource for anyone that is teaching or wants to enhance their own Bible Study time.
