I'm very pleased with this book. For each day, it has a easy to understand story that relates to stuff kids go through along with a few sentences that will make you think about how you can apply this part of the bible story in your life.

We bought this for our 5yr old kindergarten ent and have been doing it before school. My husband and I have been so pleased by the lessons it has been teaching. At first we thought it was going to be over his head but he is understanding almost all of it and God is speaking to us all through each day. I would highly recconebdations this book to someone in search of a devotion for elementary aged kids.

This devotional has daily readings of a sufficient length to contain some food for thought without becoming tedious or drawn-out. The questions are well-related to the stories and the scripture readings are adequate without becoming overwhelming. This is a very good resource for pre-teens and early teens just beginning to handle bible devotions on their own.

My sons (9 & 13) and I really like this devotional. Unlike some devotionals, this one doesn't have all the other graphics splattering the page. Just a great lesson, scripture and insightful questions. I answer the questions too so it's not just revealing for kids!

Since it is still new to us, I find it a little hard to evaluate yet, but thus far, it seems to be quite good. I am hoping it has more that deal with real life situations that my grandson might encounter as a preteen Christian.

My son is 12 years old and has Down syndrome. I bought this for him, hoping that it would help him in his understanding of how God's Word applies to his life. I haven't been disappointed! Not only does our son remind us to read him each daily devotion, he also chooses this book for his silent-reading time! The stories are interesting and meaningful. I'd definitely recommend it!

The One Year Book of Devotions for Boys shares stories that relate to situations your child may be facing. My son is just starting to read so we read to him and the stories are easy for him to understand. Like many children he has questions about why do people talk that way or say certain things and I think this book will help with explaining those questions and giving some reinforcement.

Good if you read the suggested scripture first. The stories are real-life application and the kids seem to get it and like the bold summaries at the bottom.

I work with 8-12 year olds and a devotional like this thrills them. They like the idea of reading a page a day. The updated cover excites my nephew who opened the box. He tried to claim his now, when it's for Christmas!
