Eyes Wide Open: The Full Story (1-4), eBook

Who am I?

My name is Christy Snow. I'm seventeen and I'm about to die. I'm buried in a coffin under tons of concrete. No one knows where I am. My heart sounds like a monster with clobber feet, running straight toward me.

I'm lying on my back, soaked with sweat from the hair on my head to the soles of my feet. My hands and feet won't stop shaking. Some will say that I'm not really here. Some will say I'm delusional. Some will say that I don't even exist. But who are they? I'm the one buried in a grave.

My name is Christy Snow. I'm seventeen. I'm about to die.

So who are you?

In a return to the kind of storytelling that made Black, Showdown and Three unforgettable, Ted Dekker drags that question into the light with this modern day parable about how we see ourselves. Humming with intensity and blindsided twists, Eyes Wide Open is raw adrenaline from the first page to the last pure escapism packed with inescapable truth. Not all is as it seems. Or is it? Strap yourself in for the ride of your life. Literally.

Dekker blurs the line between illusion and reality as he forces the reader to consider philosophical questions such as what a person’s identity is and how it shapes daily life and thinking. I love how applicable the deeper part of the story is to each person's life.

Great reminders as I read this story how we truly need to walk our faith journey with eyes wide open, fearing nothing because we know who is ultimately in control. THe book opened my thoughts furthur to the idea that we must truly walk this life with eyes wide open! no heads in the clouds or down in the sand.

I had been anticipating Ted Dekker's new book "Eye's Wide Open" for awhile; so when it came out I just had to get a copy and I haven't been disappointed. I haven't finished it yet but what I have read; I have really enjoyed it. The moment I picked it up I loved it. It just reached out and grabbed me!

Ted Dekker's "The Circle" Series was the first fantasy genre book I have read as an adult. I didn't realize what it was until I had started reading, but I was hooked. I have read everything I can get my hands on by Ted Dekker. I especially like reading books like this one, and Ted Dekker is an author I will continue to seek out. Definitely recommend!

Do you ever question who you are or that you are a valuable part of God's creation? Meet Christy and Austin, two people trapped in the worldly cycle of feeling broken, ugly and unlovable. Follow their journey to find love, peace and hope instead of terror, pain and suffering. This book will really make you thin about how you see yourself and how you see God.

Was very different! But in the end after reading all 4 books it made sense. I would recommend it if you like suspense and it does have Christian connotations - which you could sort of see all along but were very subtly given.
