Rocky Mountains, Romance, and Resolutions
Date:July 24, 2013
I have read many of Janice Hanna Thompson's novels. Her Love Finds You novels are some of my favorite because of the time period which I so enjoy reading about. This story, Wedding Belles, is now another of my favorites, set in the year 1912, in one of my favorite places, Estes Park, Colorado. Having been there, it did not take a great deal of imagination to see this town in my mind's eye - idyllic setting, beautiful, with majestic mountains surrounding them. A perfect stage for the melodrama unfolding on stage and off.
Her characters are zany, witty, and colorful, each bringing to the story layers of personality that spring the storyline to life. One gets caught up in the romance and relationships that slowly unfold. Lottie, the main character, starts off as a tomboy, yet on the inside she has all the feelings and emotions as any woman in the town. As the story progresses, she is like a beautiful flower slowly unveiling for all to see.
I love the way Janice always reveals to us through her storylines just exactly how God can work in our lives if we fully turn things over to Him and allow Him to take charge. A highly recommended read!

Janice has written a lovely tale! I loved each character! Lottie is a doll even if she does not know it in the beginning! and Gilbert? silly man, can't see the perfect lady that is right in front of him! Loved how the story flowed, and let's know forget Flossie and Fanny! this is a funny, loving and caring about others book!
