A lot of Christians don't believe in alternative medicine. I was injured in an accident 8 years ago, and alternative medicine is the only thing that saved me. This book is very scientific, but not spiritual, and only has a superficial commentary on healing in the Bible. The worst part is that the author made a few derogatory comments on prayer. I couldn't believe it. To say I was shocked is an understatement. There are many things in the Bible that science can't explain. The Holy Spirit is the one who leads us and guides us, not science.
I bought this book, after getting out of yoga, tai chi practices (again); to weave my way through the alternative medicine and medical practices out there. This book is easy to read, understand, the chapters are well-defined, the information is authoritive and reliable. I do wish the book would list referrals to websites and other books, for further detailed reading about the practices explained in the book. I ernestly recommend this book.
