Tyndale House Dream of Life, American Dreams Series #2

Several races came to this country seeking freedom. The African Americans were forced into slavery. The Cherokee people were forced off their land and some of them were sold into slavery. This is the story of the people who forged this great nation and fought for freedom.

Richmond and Carolyn Davidson's lives changed the day they decided to follow God's will and free their slaves. When the Underground Railroad hears of this possible safe house in the turbulent South, runaways began appearing at thier door. Unable to turn them away, the Davidson's realized they had to find a way to help the runaways and keep thier family safe.

Michael Phillips does an excellent job of drawing the reader in. I love his work and I love how he gives a glimpse of just how blessed we are in the present day.

Michael Phillips has done it again with this "Dream series". I was given Book 1 for Christmas, and had to order the sequels immediately thereafter. Thought provoking, entertaining and challenging! Read these books!! I've been challenged to live my faith, even through the tough times!

I have not read the American Dreams series as I'm reading Nancy Moser's Time Lottery Series. But, I'm looking forward to getting steeped in Michael Phillips wonderful books. My husband finished the entire series and he said "all of the books in the American Dreams series...are awesome!" He highly recommends them to me as well as to you out there.

Book # 2 is just as exciting and interesting as the 1st one was. Wonderfully full and rich it delves into intricate and yet simple search for freedom from slavery. Phillips brings to our attention that slavery wasn't only for blacks but indians as well. A TREMENDOUS look into history and how and where slavery got started in both cultures. Extremely long book.
