Tyndale House The Antelope in the Living Room: The Real Story of Two People Sharing One Life

Most newlyweds tend to view "happily ever after" through rose-colored glasses---but reality intrudes when (for instance) one of them decides it's a good idea to hang a giant antelope head on the living room wall! In this funny, insightful memoir, Shankle explores the blessings and challenges that come when two people commit to share one life. 224 pages, softcover from Tyndale.

This was a very funny and entertaining book! Melanie Shankle talks about when her and her husband were first married and some of the funny adventures she went through. There were stories that I could definitely relate to even though I've been married a few more years than her. This was a very easy book to read and Melanie Shankle is a very talented writer. I would recommend this to everyone!

I read Mealnie Shankle's other book and when I found out she published this book, I knew it was a must read. I really enjoyed her book on marriage because she takes important issues in marriage and discusses them in a humorous manner. There was several times that I laughed out loud (causing my husband to give me funny looks) and there were also lesson in their that I can apply to my own marriage. The book was a quick read (read it in an evening) and I would strongly recommend picking it up for an enjoyable evening read.

Author and blogger Melanie Shankle has written another "memoir", this time about marriage. Like the first book, this one is filled with anecdotes from the author's life and marriage, some of which are rather amusing. I enjoyed this collection of stories as I did the author's previous book.
