This book was to be a gift to one of my nephews for Christmas. When it arrived in the mail, I determined to give it to myself. Oxford is one of my favorite places on earth. As I read about the Inklings and walked with them to their favorite "talking" places around Oxford and out to Headington, I felt that I was transported back to my favorite place. The book is beautifully illustrated with pictures and captions that are lifted from the actual text of the book. A must "have" for those of us who enjoy the masterpieces by the Inklings, and for those of us who have benefited from their wisdom.

Review 2 for The Inklings of Oxford: C. S. Lewis, J. R. R. Tolkien, and Their Friends - eBook
This is an excellent book for what it is intended to be. It is not a detailed history or biography of the people involved, but a pictorial history of their relationship to one another and where they lived and worked. Beautiful pictures - wonderful commentary. I highly recommend this book for your coffee table or bookshelf.
